Terry Corritone, Owner After earning her teaching credential and a Master's degree in Education, Ms. Terry got involved in early childhood education when her own children started preschool. She has owned The Ark School for twenty-five years and loves working with the children, the parents, and the staff. She enjoys being involved with her grandchildren's lives, and enjoys playing golf and attending yoga classes. |

Carolyn Garrett, Executive Director Ms. Carolyn has worked with Terry for 20 of her 22 years, helping the children of the Livermore community. She enjoyed working at another facility of Terry's where she had the opportunity to expand her skills as both a director and a teacher. Carolyn is thrilled to be back at The Ark, working with such experienced staff, and continuing the legacy of helping Livermore's next generation. She is always looking for ways to equip young ones for the challenges they will face in the future. In her personal time, Carolyn enjoys cooking for her husband and friends, and rooting on her favorite team, the COLTS! Her greatest joy is "coming to work each day as children drop what they are doing and come running to me with a hug excited to meet today's challenges."

Donna Gomez, Director/Barneys Teacher This is Ms. Donna's 16th year at The Ark. She has enjoyed building friendships with the children and their families, as well as with the staff. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, traveling, reading, and watching the Denver Broncos. Her favorite thing to do in class are art and storytime. She loves to watch the children grow.

Kaitlyn Vigil, Barneys Teacher Kaitlyn joined The Ark family this year. She is attending college to become a child psychologist. Her favorite thing to do with the children is art and outdoor activities. In her free time she likes to go camping, wakeboarding, soaking up the sun on the beach, and spending time with her 6 year old brother. She is looking forward to getting to know the children and families. P.S. It's all about the Padres.

Carleen Lankenau, Goofy Goons Teacher (younger three year-olds) This is Carleen's 10th year teaching the Goofy Goon class at The Ark. She takes evening courses to enhance her Early Childhood knowledge. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, watching her boys play baseball, and barbecuing with friends/ One of her favorite parts of the day is art. She loves to watch how creative the children can be with their individual projects.

Lea Kochendorfer, Dalmatians Teacher (older three year-olds) Ms. Lea has been at The Ark for 8 years. She has been teaching preschool since 1980. She also stays busy with her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, skiing, reading, walking her dogs, and reading a good book. Her favorite class time activities are cooking and exploring science with the children.

Paula Pflumm, Tigger Teacher (Pre-Kindergarten)/ Assistant Director Ms. Paula has been teaching the Tigger class for 15 years. She has a Site Supervisor permit and completed her AA degree in Early Childhood Education. She Loves teaching the children sign language, and has a special interest in earth science. In her spare time, she collects rocks, minerals, and fossils, likes to garden and plays the guitar.

Maureen Inman, Whales Teacher (Pre-Kindergarten) This is Ms. Maureen's 26th year at The Ark. She enjoys whale watching, spending time in the great outdoors and photographing natural wonders, teaching science and literacy, reading and spoiling her grandsons. She has earned her Associate of Arts degree; Associate Teacher credential from Las Positas College; Master Teacher Permit from the State of California. She enhances her Early Childhood expertise by working toward a second AA degree at Las Positas College.

Gina Saulovich,
Substitute Teacher Ms. Gina has taught pre-school for the past 14 years and joined The Ark Staff a year ago. She is married with two children. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family, traveling to new places, horseback riding, shopping, and getting pampered from time to time at the salon. "My favorite thing about working with children is that everyday is different, you never know what your day will be like, nor what one might say. I also feel, that we as adults learn from them, as they learn from us." |
